PEKIN,
IL – State Representative Mike Unes (R-East Peoria) will be hosting a free
paper shredding event this Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to Noon. The
event will take place on the street in front of the representative’s district
office, located at 19 S. Capitol Street in Pekin.

The event will
allow residents to dispose of up to two paper boxes per person of sensitive
documents. The documents will be shredded using a shredding truck
provided by AT&T and therefore allowing this service to be free to the
public. The shred truck will shred the documents on location, and will
then haul away the shredded papers to be recycled. Those wishing to
participate will be asked to remain in their cars while documents are removed
by staff. Parking is available for those who want to watch documents
being shredded.

Shredding Event, please contact Rep. Unes’ Pekin District Office at
